I am also a teacher, and The Lorax's words echo in my actions. "Jose, please recycle that." "Jorge, can you use the back of that paper for something?" I have used this book to teach the kids about theme, and of course, recycling.

this one doesnt seem to be so well known, but it's wonderful!
it's about a pair of pale green pants with nobody inside them...

i usually see it as part of "the sneeches and other stories"

The first book I ever read was The Cat in the Hat. I also enjoy The Tough Coughs As He Ploughs the Dough a collection of the DR'S work from 1929-1939.

The Foot Book...my kids & I had it memorized for a while.
I like Oh, The Places You'll Go....makes me almost cry cuz I am sentimental like that about my kids...
And the Thinks You Can Think (if only you'll try...)

Another book that ALWAYS makes me cry is by Shel Silverstein....can you guess which one?

The Giving Tree! Did you know I have never EVER found that one second hand? LOL no one wants to get rid of it.

"a person's a person no matter how small"; there's just somethin sweet bout that.

Also up there is "The Ear Book". It was the book I was reading to my son when he took over and started to read to me!
